The Windsor Inter-Residence Council advocates for all residence students. This means that we receive concerns regarding residence, food services, or general concerns on campus, and address them accordingly. We look at anything from broken street lights to accessibility issues for various parts of residence.
To handle this, the WIRC organizes the Advocacy Committee, which is composed of floor representatives from various residence buildings and chaired by the Director of Student Affairs. This committee meets Wednesday nights at 10 PM in the WIRC Office in Macdonald Hall, and anyone is not only invited, but encouraged to attend and get involved! The Advocacy Committee will be compiling a list of topics to be handled here, so you can see what we're doing.
The Director of Student Affairs will also be holding a several Town Hall meetings to not only meet the students and address any adovcacy concerns they might have, but to get feedback in order to further the list potential advocacy topics for the year to help serve you better.
For information regarding any advocacy concerns in residence, feel free to contact your residence representative, or email studentaffairs@windsorirc.ca.
