These conferences allow for students to network with other student leaders in an international context, and give great opportunities for personal and professional development programming. As a side note, they're also a blast! Delegates come back to the residence community with a great sense of school pride and a new-found energy to commit to leadership within residence. Be sure to check the conferences out, and apply to be a delegate! In November, a group of 12 delegates represented the WIRC at the Great Lakes Affiliation of College and Residence University Halls (GLACURH) Conference at the University of Indiana - Bloomington. The GLACURH region is made up of residence councils from Michigan, Ontario, Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana. On March 13-15, a group of 25 delegates will represent the WIRC at the Ontario Residence Hall Association (ORHA) Conference right here at the University of Windsor! This is a great opportunity for students to get involved, to be a part of something huge, and to grow both personally and professionally. These delegates will be joining delegates from residence communities all across the province, and are sure to leave with knowledge and experiences that add value to their everyday endeavours as both students and leaders. Apply to become a delegate today! Applications are due by January 25th @ 7:00 pm, and can be found in the front lobby of each residence hall. Application forms can be submitted to the WIRC Office in Macdonald Hall, or online to externalaffairs@windsorirc.ca.
